Barnhaus.
The starter box
The started box is delivered on a trailer. It is fully kitted out with the plumbing for the bathroom and the kitchen, the windows and front door. It also has all the electrics and water and sewer pipes pre-fitted.
What’s in the box
The steel framing components for the structure; galvanised gussets for connecting to timber post foundations; galvanised purlins for the wall and roof sheeting; Low-E double-glazing and aluminium window frames; the stair-ladder and two built-in-cupboards. You can DIY assemble the main haus or employ a contractor to do it.
What you still need to purchase
We provide you with a complete specification. However, the main items are the sheeting to clad the roof and walls, the insulation, the timber finishes on the inside and the fit out for the toilet (toilet and basin) and kitchen (cupboards, drawers, centre island etc).
Nice to haves
We also give you a general summary and rough estimate of ‘nice to have’ items such as PV panels, water tanks and a braai / bbq area – and how those might work to add value to the haus.
Your responsibility
You need to submit our document pack to your local authority for plan approval. You should begin to install water, electricity and sewer connections (or septic tanks) as soon as possible and in the location where the haus can easily connect to, as per our drawings
